When installing DSS Player for Mac, you may get the error message “The license number you have entered is incorrect. Please confirm your license number.”
If the license is correct and the software version downloaded is compatible with the OS, then the next step to check is whether this user is an administrator by following the below.
- Click on the Apple icon
- Click on System Preferences
- Click on Users & Groups
- If the user account if it says “Standard” under their name, the DSS Player for Mac has been unable to write the license key information to the OS. Please either log in and install the software as an admin or allow the user as an admin by ticking the box “Allow user to administer this computer”.
