How to set up device support for ThinOS, using the USB storage and keyboard modes of Olympus hardware…
ThinOS has limited supported because there is no native integration of the Olympus Linux drivers (ThinOS is not Linux, it is FreeBSD so the drivers do not work). However, by using the keyboard mode for the RM/RS devices and Mass-Storage Mode for DS devices, customers can use the devices under ThinOS.
- Set the DS device to use Storage Mode (Mass Storage Mode) via the device’s USB Class settings.
- USB redirection should be deactivated
- Map the DS device drive within Citrix client under ThinOS
- The drive should be visible within Windows, please ensure the device is shown in Windows Explorer. If the device is not present in Windows, ensure the configuration is correct or the environment is working correctly.
Switch the USB mode of the RecMic or Foot Switch to keyboard mode:
The Connection Manager is useful for checking the properties of a connection and can be used to compare against others…
- On the taskbar, click Connection Manager.
- The Connection Manager dialogue box is displayed.
- Select a Citrix connection from the list, and click Properties.
