This guide goes through how to configure folder encryption for the ODMS Dictation Module and folder decryption for the ODMS Transcription Module.
The ODMS R8/R7 supports FTP, which allows for efficient file transfer and management within the system. This functionality is designed to streamline the workflow for dictation and transcription tasks by enabling secure and reliable file transfers between the ODMS components and external servers.
Dictation Module
The Dictation Module can be configured to automatically encrypt files that are downloaded into the folder.
Follow the steps below to configure automatic encryption.
- Click Tools > Options > Folder Design.
- Select a folder and click on Encryption dropdown and select Yes.
- While you are in the current folder click on Password and click on “…” button
- Enter the password and select an encryption format and click OK.
- If you want to encrypt all the files in the current folder then click Yes.
- Click OK to apply the settings
Transcription Module
The Transcription Module can be configured to automatically input the decryption password to play the files.
Follow the steps below to configure automatic decryption.
- Click on Tools > Options > Folder Design.
- Select a Folder and click on Password and click on “…” button
- Enter the decryption password and click OK
- Click OK to apply the settings
