DSS Player for Mac v7.5.4
- Mac OS High Sierra 10.13 support
- The issue in DSSPlayer ver 7.5.3 or older versions
- License number confirmation function does not work in the new OS
- Due to the change in the OS, the software module which confirms the stored License Number in the software does not work. Therefore, the user will fail to boot the software and will see the following error message whenever the user tries to boot the software. Ver7.5.4 will fix this issue.
- Recognition of devices connect by USB
- The change in the latest macOS High Sierra 10.13 requires the users to allow loading the USB Driver when used for the first time. This is due to the new Security Feature implemented in the macOS High Sierra.
- Follow the steps shown below to load the USB Driver.
- Select Apple menu > System Preferences and click Security & Privacy.
- Then click the Allow button shown the lower part of the screen.
- If you would like to reboot immediately click Restart. If you wou ld like to reboot later manually, click OK.

- Installation
- If you attempt to install DSS Player with the installer downloaded from the internet, you may not process the installation on macOS Sierra because new security system called “Gatekeeper Path Randomization” in macOS Sierra blocks it.
- Language to be displayed
- DSS Player changes the language to be displayed based on the system language. However, DSS Player always displays English on macOS Sierra regardless of the system language.
- Fix the issue whereby DSS Player for Mac v7.5.2 does not recognize SD card (4GB or more).

DSS Player for Mac v7.5.2

- Installer, SCSI Driver and DeviceManager have been updated to support MacOS X 10.11. Help and Readme have been updated as well.
- The issue at the installation
- When the users attempt to install DSS Player on MacOS 10.11, the following error message is displayed then the installation can not be completed. The new module (installation package) is required to fix this error.
- The issue when Mac OS is upgraded
- After the users upgrade Mac OS from older versions to 10.11, DSS Player does not recognize the connected device(s). This is because the current USB driver API is not compatible with Mac OS 10.11. The new module (installation package) is required to fix this error.

- Previous versions of DSS Player for Mac can set only the location of the Download Tray, the location of each folder cannot be specified individually. With DSS Player for Mac v7.5.0, the location of each folder in the Download Tray can be set. In addition, folder aliases (custom folders) can be added to the Dictation Folder.

- DSS Player for Mac v7.3.3 supports the function that can convert a DSS/DSS Pro file to an AIFF file that satisfies the requirements of Dragon Dictate 3. The format for a conversion can be selected in the Preferences dialog. This conversion setting is valid for a conversion of a recorded file from the DSS/DS2 file formats only.

DSS Player for Mac v7.3.2
- DSSPlayer previous versions can not playback some other vendor’s voice file because they have some different DSS header structure (Number of DSS header block). V7.3.2 supports these vendor’s DSS header structure and support playing back all vendor’s DSS files.
- v7.3.1 could decrypt and playback encrypted files with a 256 bit key, but it could not encrypt DSS Profiles with a 256bit key by the software itself. Now v7.3.2 supports it.
- Mac OS 10.8 is now supported.
- For Gate Keeper Apple developer ID is applied to v7.3.2 updater (only). If Gate Keeper is turned ON and the updater is downloaded from a website, it can be updated when the option is on the middle level. To apply the Apple developer ID, DSSPlayer updater is divided two modules, one is for MacOS 10.4 and the other is for 10.5 and later.

- In previous versions, when DSS Player was launched immediately after MacOS returns from sleep, there was a case where starting up was very slow. In this case of v7.2.8, it has improved so that DSS Player may start up immediately in off-line mode. After a while, if Network is established, it will become on-line mode.
- Fixed a bug in which the playback position of an audio file currently being played reset due to an audio file being downloaded or deleted in the same shared Download Folder.

DSS Player for Mac v7.2.6
- In previous versions, when users set his/her download folder to a network location, and the user uses the Mac off-line, the allocated path of its download folder was rolled back to the default forcibly. In v7.2.6,when it is used off-line, the configured path is kept and download files are stored in the Off-line folder like DSS Player Pro R5. These stored files are uploaded into the network location when it will be able to access the location next time.
- In previous versions, when a user sets his/her download folder to the network location, sometimes the user could not modify comment, index mark and the other properties of all files which is stored in the network location.
- When users put a huge sound file into a download folder using Finder, sometimes the file did not appear in the Audio List Window.
