Then follow the below steps.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2126\" src=\"https:\/\/audiosupport.omsystem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Recorder-not-recognising-in-Mac.jpg\" width=\"1401\" height=\"981\" alt=\"Recorder not recognising in Mac\" srcset=\"https:\/\/audiosupport.omsystem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Recorder-not-recognising-in-Mac.jpg 1401w, https:\/\/audiosupport.omsystem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Recorder-not-recognising-in-Mac-300x210.jpg 300w, https:\/\/audiosupport.omsystem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Recorder-not-recognising-in-Mac-1024x717.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/audiosupport.omsystem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Recorder-not-recognising-in-Mac-768x538.jpg 768w, https:\/\/audiosupport.omsystem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Recorder-not-recognising-in-Mac-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1401px) 100vw, 1401px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Remove Olympus DSS driver and re-install<br \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span id=\"bug_resolution_c\" class=\"sugar_field\">Delete the OlympusDSSDriver.kext which located &#8220;\/Library\/Extensions\/&#8221; <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"bug_resolution_c\" class=\"sugar_field\">Delete the OlympusDSSDriver.kext which located &#8220;\/System\/Library\/Extensions\/&#8221; (If exists). <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"bug_resolution_c\" class=\"sugar_field\">Delete the above drivers from the [Finder]-&gt;[Empty Trash box&#8230;] completely. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"bug_resolution_c\" class=\"sugar_field\">Then, Launch Terminal program from Finder-&gt;Application-&gt;Utility <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"bug_resolution_c\" class=\"sugar_field\">Execute &#8220;sudo touch \/Library\/Extensions&#8221; by command line. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"bug_resolution_c\" class=\"sugar_field\">Execute &#8220;sudo touch \/System\/Library\/Extensions&#8221; by command line(If you have deleted the driver in this location)<br \/><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"bug_resolution_c\" class=\"sugar_field\">Close Terminal program.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"bug_resolution_c\" class=\"sugar_field\">After you performed the above, and please reinstall DSSPlayer<\/span><span id=\"bug_resolution_c\" class=\"sugar_field\"><br \/> <\/span><\/li>\n<li>Reboot<\/li>\n<li>Disconnect and reconnect the recorder<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Check for BlackBerry device drivers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If the customer previously owned a BlackBerry this could cause a problem with the device recognition. Confirm with user if they still use a BlackBerry before proceeding to remove.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span id=\"solution_c\" class=\"sugar_field\">Launch terminal program <span id=\"solution_c\" class=\"sugar_field\">from Finder-&gt; Application-&gt; Utility<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"solution_c\" class=\"sugar_field\">From command line, execute &#8220;ioreg &gt; ioreg.txt&#8221;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"solution_c\" class=\"sugar_field\">execute &#8220;ioreg -l &gt; ioreg_l.txt&#8221; <\/span><\/li>\n<li>Find BlackBerry in the log to confirm if drivers are on the Mac.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span id=\"bug_resolution_c\" class=\"sugar_field\">If its confirmed then go to Applications and uninstall BlackBerry device software and check following locations below and move them to the trash. Then re-install the DSS Player software. You can download the software <a href=\"https:\/\/swdownloads.blackberry.com\/Downloads\/contactFormPreload.do?code=CC3F5463BC4D26BC38EADC8BCFFBC654&amp;dl=CFA9EAFA4B6033B02F844B474D04114F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a> which contains the uninstaller. This is due to the new Security Feature implemented in the macOS High Sierra.
