{"id":1868,"date":"2018-08-14T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-08-14T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/audiosupport.omsystem.com\/2018\/08\/14\/844-using-device-templates-in-the-scp\/"},"modified":"2022-03-22T20:31:00","modified_gmt":"2022-03-22T20:31:00","slug":"844-using-device-templates-in-the-scp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/audiosupport.omsystem.com\/en\/odms-r7\/844-using-device-templates-in-the-scp\/","title":{"rendered":"Using Device Templates in the SCP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This article goes through how to use the new feature Device Templates in the R7 SCP.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Device templates lets you configure all the common device settings for a specified device model.&nbsp;So, when the user connects the device to the PC which has the ODMS R7 workgroup mode or the SCP client installed it will automatically update the device settings using the pre-configured device template and assign the device to the user. However, in the event of where some settings do not carry over for some reason then you can tick the box &#8220;Override Descendant Profiles&#8221; and click Save.
