    Copy<\/td>\nCopies a file to the \u201cClipboard\u201d, ready to be pasted to another location, keeping the original audio file in the original location.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Paste<\/td>\nInputs the contents of the \u201cClipboard\u201d to the selected folder.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Delete<\/td>\nDeleted the selected audio file.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Select All<\/td>\nSelects all contents of the selected folder.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

    Show Grid<\/td>\nDisplays the grid lines within the \u201cContents List\u201d to emphasise the rows and columns.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Current View<\/td>\nThis option lets you select which file types to show in the software.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Columns to Display<\/td>\nDisplays a prompt to configure a Music Folder or a Dictation Folder to select what columns are shown within the DSS Player software.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Sort By<\/td>\nThis option sorts audio files within the selected folder dependant upon the selected attribute.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Refresh<\/td>\nRefreshes the DSS Player software, forcing it to check the folders, ensuring the user can view all audio files in the Olympus folders.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

    Channel<\/td>\nChoose between 4 channels to play audio<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Auto Short-Rewind<\/td>\nDetermines how far to rewind a dictation when the Play pedal is released during transcription.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Insert index Mark<\/td>\nPlaces an index mark within the selected file at the current point in the audio file.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Delete index Mark<\/td>\nDeletes the currently selected index mark, within the selected audio file.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    List of index Marks<\/td>\nDisplays a prompt that lists all index marks and at what point within the selected audio file each mark is set.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Intro Scan<\/td>\nPlays back the first 5 seconds of each audio file going down the list starting on the selected audio file.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

    Download Folder A-G<\/td>\nDownloads files from the connected device to the Mac.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Download Selected Files<\/td>\nDownloads selected files into the DSS Player software. To select multiple files, select an audio file then hold \u201cCtrl\u201d and select other audio files to be downloaded.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Download All<\/td>\nDownloads all files from the connected device into the Olympus software.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Upload<\/td>\nUploads selected files into the connected device. To select multiple files, select an audio file then hold \u201cCtrl\u201d and select other audio files to be downloaded.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Select Speaker<\/td>\nScrolls through the audio devices connected to the Mac.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Switches to Storage\/Audio Mode<\/td>\nWhilst in \u201cStorage\u201d mode, the device is recognised only as a \u201cStorage\u201d device, allowing access to the audio files on the memory card(s). Whilst in \u201cComposite\u201d mode, the device is recognised as three devices, a \u201cStorage\u201d device, an \u201cInput\u201d device and an \u201cOutput\u201d device.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Edit and save templates<\/td>\nConfigure File comments and Folder name templates to upload to a recorder (Obsolete)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Transfer Date\/Time<\/td>\nChanges the Date\/Time on the device to match the set Date\/Time of the Mac the device is connected to.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Transfer Author ID<\/td>\nChanges the Author ID of the recorder<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

    The following will explain the components within the Playback Control bar. Please follow the below descriptions from left to right on the picture.<\/p>\n

     1 <\/span>  Playback Controls:<\/strong> Skip to Start > Previous \u201cIndex Mark\u201d > Rewind.<\/p>\n

     2 <\/span>  Playback Controls:<\/strong> Play\/Pause.<\/p>\n

     3 <\/span>  Playback Controls:<\/strong> Fast forward > Next \u201cIndex Mark\u201d > Skip to end.<\/p>\n

     4 <\/span>  Volume Control:<\/strong> This control is used to change the playback volume of an audio file.<\/p>\n

     A <\/span>  Playback Control Bar:<\/strong> This bar shows where in the audio file a user is, where index marks are within the audio file and shows the full length of an audio file.<\/p>\n

     1 <\/span> Priority:<\/strong> This sets priority on an audio file, making the audio file appear at the top of the content list.<\/p>\n

     2 <\/span> <\/strong>Timescale Control: <\/strong>Changes the time scale to be either 1-minute width or full scale.<\/p>\n

     3  Volume Level Meter:<\/strong> This displays the levels at which the microphone registers user input.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

     B <\/span> Audio Control options:<\/strong> These options change the way audio files are played back (speed, tone & noise cancellation).<\/p>\n

     5 <\/span> Playback Speed:<\/strong> This controls the speed at which the audio file is played back.<\/p>\n

     6 <\/span> Noise Cancellation:<\/strong> There are 3 levels of \u201cNoise Cancellation\u201d, this feature removes background noise from the audio playback.<\/p>\n

     7 <\/span> Tone Control:<\/strong> This controls the \u201cTone\u201d of the dictation while playing an audio file back.<\/p>\n

    <\/a>Dictation Tree and Audio List Window<\/strong><\/p>\n

    This section goes through the Dictation Tree and the Audio List Window.<\/p>\n

    \"Dictation<\/p>\n

    The Dictation Tree has the Folders A to G and the Dictation Tray for storing the audio files which by default are located in the user’s Documents\/DSSPlayer\/Message folder. The folder location can be changed by going to the menu at the top and click on DSS Player > Preferences > Download, this is ideal if you want to save files to a network folder location so it can be shared with another user. You can add,delete or rename a folder by going to the menu at the top and click on File.<\/p>\n

    The Audio List Window will show you the audio files in alphabetical order via the File Name, Author, Worktype and other attributes in the selected folder. You can rename or add a comment to the file by going to the menu at the top and click on File > Property.<\/p>\n

    The device manager section displays the connected recorder and lets you browse the recorder folders for your dictations. Device settings and download options can be found by going to the Device menu at the top.<\/p>\n
