This software is mainly installed on a PC or server that is constantly available to allow multiple users send dictations via WiFi in the environment.<\/p>\n<p>The Wireless Communication Service setup can be found with the ODMS R7 package\u00a0<a href=\"\/downloads\/software\/odms-r7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a> or can be downloaded separately <a href=\"\/product-category\/utilities\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Please ensure the following is configured first before proceeding:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The network share folder has the Everyone group added with Full Control permissions<\/li>\n<li>The PC or Server hosting the Wireless Communication Service has an Ethernet connection<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Setup the wireless download setting for the recorder by following the guide <a href=\"\/kb\/hardware\/mobile-dictation\/754-wireless-download-settings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wireless Download Settings<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click on Start<\/li>\n<li>Find and open Olympus Wireless Communication Service folder<\/li>\n<li>Click on Option Settings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 309px) 100vw, 309px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Port<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This let you see the port number that the Wireless Communication Service is using and change the port sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 796px) 100vw, 796px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Backup\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dictations downloaded can automatically be backed up by doing the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tick the box \u201cEnable auto-backup\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Specify the backup location by typing in the location or by clicking on the \u201c&#8230;\u201d button to browse for the folder.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can also set the backup folder to be purged after a certain amount of days.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tick the box \u201cEnable Purge feature<\/li>\n<li>Enter the number of days.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img Download\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This lets you configure routing rules for the dictations this is ideal if you want to sort your files based on Authors or Worktypes into specific folder.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To create a rule, tick the box \u201cEnable Advanced Download\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Click \u201cAdd\u201d and then specify the following\n<ul>\n<li>Author ID<\/li>\n<li>Worktype ID<\/li>\n<li>Destination Folder (Please note we would recommend using the UNC path rather than the drive letter.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Repeat above step to add another rule.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, you can set a download rule for files which doesn\u2019t match the specified conditions by ticking the box \u201cDownload files that do not match all rules to a specific folder\u201d then type in the folder location or click \u201c\u2026\u201d button to browse for the folder.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4222\" Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The device settings and firmware updates can be centrally managed via WiFi using the SCP R7.\u00a0<strong>Note<\/strong>: this requires an SCP license for central management.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tick the box \u201cEnable device management by SCP\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Enter the SCP server address and port number.<\/li>\n<li>Click Connection Test to confirm the details
