This assumes you have already configured your DS-9500 recorder with a WiFi network, if not then please follow the guide&nbsp;<a href=\"\/kb\/software\/odms-r7\/752-configuring-the-ds-9500-to-use-a-wifi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Configuring the DS-9500 to use a WiFi<\/a>. If you haven&#8217;t installed the Wireless Communication Service then please follow the guide <a href=\"\/kb\/software\/odms-r7\/755-wireless-communication-service-settings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wireless Communication Service Settings<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open the Dictation Module<\/li>\n<li>Connect the DS-9500 recorder.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Click on Tools then click on Options and click on Device.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>: Device setting will not appear if the recorder isn\u2019t connected.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In the left column click on Wireless Download.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Tick the box \u201cEnable wireless download to folder\u201d&nbsp;\n<ul>\n<li>If you want to use the Wireless Communication Service, then enter the Address and Port number of the PC or Server which has the service installed.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>If you want to use Wireless Downloader, then click \u201cUse Wireless Downloader\u201d and this will automatically enter the Address and Port field for the current PC.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2785\" 12pt;\">Download<\/span>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please ensure the following is configured first before proceeding:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The network share folder has the Everyone group added with Full Control permissions<\/li>\n<li>The PC hosting the Wireless Download or Wireless Communication Service has an Ethernet connection<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can set the individual folder path by clicking on the \u201c\u2026\u201c button.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2788\" or type in the folder location and click OK.&nbsp;Please note we would recommend using the UNC path rather than the drive letter.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" configured the download folders in the Folder Design settings then you can click on \u201cSync with Folder Settings\u201d button to automatically link the folders.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Clock Synchronization<\/span>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The recorder time can be synchronized with the PC which has the Wireless Communication Service installed by ticking 12pt;\"><strong>Delete<\/strong><\/span>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The dictations will stay on the recorder once downloaded however, the dictations can be automatically deleted from the recorder.&nbsp;Alternatively, the dictations can be deleted after a certain amount of days once the file has been transcribed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Rename&nbsp;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The dictations can automatically be renamed upon download using a set format by ticking the box then click on Format button Format Options tick the relevant information to be included with the filename.<\/p>\n<p>The order of the file information can be changed by clicking on Move Up and Move Down buttons.<\/p>\n<p>The separator can also be changed by clicking on the drop-down list.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Preview field allows you to see how the file name would look before applying the changes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img \/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>WAV conversion<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The dictations can be automatically converted to WAV format once downloaded by ticking the box below and setting the attributes.
