Check the module installed<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"jwts_toggleControlNotice\">Click to collapse<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"jwts_clr\"><\/span><br \/>\n<\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"jwts_toggleContent\" style=\"display: none;\">\n<div class=\"jwts_content\">\n<p>If you have recently installed the software on the PC then ensure that you have installed the correct module.<\/p>\n<p>If you are using the Mac then you don&#8217;t need to check this as there is only one software which caters for both functions.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dictation Module doesn&#8217;t support the use of a foot control for transcription.<\/li>\n<li>Transcription Module does support the use of a foot control for transcription.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The license key determines which module gets installed this is normally indicated on the green license slip. Alternatively this is also indicated by the first 2 characters of the license. Check the foot control is recognized<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"jwts_toggleControlNotice\">Click to collapse<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"jwts_clr\"><\/span><br \/>\n<\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"jwts_toggleContent\" style=\"display: none;\">\n<div class=\"jwts_content\">\n<p>There are two ways to check if the foot control is recognized<\/p>\n<p>Within the Transcription Module you will see foot control icon in the software on the bottom right<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2817\" src=\"https:\/\/audiosupport.omsystem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Foot-control-not-working-1-2.png\" width=\"220\" height=\"103\" alt=\"Foot control not working 1\" srcset=\"https:\/\/audiosupport.omsystem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Foot-control-not-working-1-2.png 220w, https:\/\/audiosupport.omsystem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Foot-control-not-working-1-2-18x8.png 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 220px) 100vw, 220px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Within Device Manager on the PC the foot control will recognise as a HID compliant device for details on how to check this see the Device Vendor and Product ID page.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If the foot control isn&#8217;t recognised then try connecting to another USB port on the PC.<\/li>\n<li>If you have another foot control then we would recommend try connecting it to the PC<\/li>\n<li>If you have another PC then we would suggest try connecting the foot control to that PC.<\/li>\n<li>If you don&#8217;t have another foot control or another PC then we would suggest try connecting another USB device to the PC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These tests help identify whether the problem is with the foot control or with the PC.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!-- 'Tabs and Sliders' Plugin ends here --><\/p>\n<p><!-- 'Tabs and Sliders' Plugin starts here --><\/p>\n<div class=\"jwts_toggleControlContainer\">\n    <a href=\"#\" class=\"jwts_toggleControl jwts_toggleOff\" title=\"Click to open!\"><br \/>\n<span class=\"jwts_togglePlus\">+<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"jwts_toggleMinus\">&#8211;<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"jwts_toggleControlTitle\">5.
