You can change the application to open with the small Olympus player by following the steps below.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>: If you are playing files outside of the software it will not be managed in the main Olympus software, so you won&#8217;t be able to track this file at a later date if you needed to.&nbsp;If you want to manage the files in the main Olympus software&nbsp;please follow the guide on <a href=\"\/kb\/software\/d-p-s\/64-importing-dictations-sr2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">importing dictations<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Right click the audio file and click Properties.<\/li>\n<li>In the General tab click on Change next to Opens with:<\/li>\n<li>Click on More apps<\/li>\n<li>Scroll down and click on look for another app on this PC<\/li>\n<li>Click on (C:) in the address bar<\/li>\n<li>Double click on Program Files (x86)<\/li>\n<li>Double click on Olympus<\/li>\n<li>Double click on DSSOle<\/li>\n<li>Select Dssole.exe and click Open.<\/li>\n<li>Now if you double click the file it will open in a small Olympus player.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2402\" src=\"https:\/\/audiosupport.omsystem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Open-with.gif\" width=\"721\" height=\"678\" alt=\"Open with\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you are playing a file type that is a WAV, MP3 or a WMA outside of the main Olympus software it may play the file in another application such Windows Media Player or Groove Music.
